The Text block adds static text — a heading, an instruction, a section label — to the input area. It has no inputs and feeds nothing into your formulas. This article covers its size, weight, and styling options.
What it does
A Text block displays a title (and optionally a description) on the page. It's purely informational: visitors can't interact with it, and it isn't assigned to a spreadsheet cell. Use it to group inputs, introduce a section, or add guidance between fields.
Adding one
- In the Build tab, click + Add in the input area and choose Text.
- Click the block to open its settings.
Settings
The Text block keeps a slimmer settings panel than the input blocks (there's no Formula or Value group). In the Text group you'll find:
- Title — the main text. Edit it inline on the canvas or in the settings header.
- Size — Small, Medium, or Large. Small is body-sized; Large reads as a section heading.
- Weight — Regular or Bold.
- Description — turn on to add a secondary line of text below the title. See Common block settings.
- Tooltip — turn on to attach an info tooltip to the title.
- Block Spacing — top and bottom padding in pixels.
- Block background — fill color for the block.
No interactivity
Because the Text block doesn't collect a value, it never appears in the spreadsheet, in responses, or in analytics. If you need a value-bearing label, use an input block instead.
