This article covers seats — how many people your workspace can hold, how to add more, and what happens when you hit the limit.
A seat is one person in your workspace. Every workspace starts with one seat (the Owner). To add teammates, you add more seats. Seats are billed in addition to your plan.
See how many seats you're using
- Open workspace settings and go to the Billing tab.
- The Seats section shows a usage bar reading X of Y used, where X is the number of people in the workspace and Y is your seat allowance.
When the bar is full, every seat is taken.
Add seats
- In the Seats section, select Add Seats.
- Use the add/subtract control to choose how many seats to add.
- Numio shows a preview invoice. New seats are prorated — you're charged for the remaining part of the current billing period — and they renew on your existing renewal date, so all seats bill together going forward.
- Confirm to apply. Your seat allowance updates immediately.
If you're in a trial, added seats follow the same proration and align to your renewal date once the trial converts.
Seat limits on invites
Invites are gated by your seat allowance:
- When you open Invite people to your team, Numio counts the people already in the workspace plus the rows you're adding.
- If that total would exceed your seat allowance, Numio shows Reached seat limit, disables the Add + button for more invite rows, and won't let you invite beyond your seats.
- If the workspace has no seats free at all, the invite action prompts you to add seats (or upgrade) first.
To invite more people, add seats using the steps above, then send the invites. See Roles and permissions for setting each invitee's role.
Notes
- Seat management lives on the Billing tab and is an Owner/Admin action.
- Removing a person from the Team tab frees their seat for reuse but does not by itself reduce your seat allowance or your bill.
- Seat pricing and your plan are shown in your billing details. See Billing, payment, and cancellation.
