This article covers what a workspace is, how to rename it, how to switch between workspaces, and the settings sections each workspace has.
A workspace is the container for your projects, your team, your branding, and your plan. Everyone you invite joins a specific workspace, and your subscription is billed per workspace. You can belong to more than one workspace at a time.
Switching workspaces
If you belong to multiple workspaces, switch between them from the workspace switcher in the app's top navigation. Your profile stays the same across all of them — only the projects, team, branding, and billing change.
Each account has a default workspace, which is the one Numio opens into. The default is shown on the General settings tab as Make this my default workspace.
Opening workspace settings
Open a workspace's settings to manage it. Settings are organized into these sections:
- General — account details: workspace name, avatar, and default-workspace indicator.
- Billing — your subscription, seats, billing information, and payment card. See Billing, payment, and cancellation.
- Team — the people in the workspace and their roles. See Roles and permissions.
- Branding — logo, accent color, and font applied to your public projects.
- Integrations — connect Numio to outside tools.
Rename a workspace
- Open workspace settings and go to the General tab.
- Edit the Workspace name field.
- Click out of the field to save — it saves on blur.
The workspace name and avatar appear to your team and in places where the workspace is identified.
What lives at the workspace level
Each workspace has its own:
- Projects (calculators) and project collections
- Team members and roles
- Subscription, plan, and seat allowance
- Branding (logo, color, font)
Because billing is per workspace, the features available to you depend on that workspace's plan. A teammate in a different workspace may have different features. See Plans and feature gating.
Notes
- Workspace settings (like Team and Billing) require the right role. Many actions are limited to the workspace Owner or an Admin — see Roles and permissions.
- The workspace switcher and most management screens run in the desktop app.
